I had the opportunity to take Cole's class pictures at Head Start. Along with the 3 yr old class and all their individuals. I must say I was very impressed with how well they all did. They were so good and we got everything done fairly quickly for how many kids there were.

Great job guys.

I am posting this for their teachers, family and friends to enjoy!!

I promised pictures from my photo shoot in Vegas. It was interesting watching how other photographers interact with models. These models were so great to come and deal with 9 photographers for about 2+ hours telling them what to do. I love the end result and I hope they do too! Thank you so much guys you were great to work with.

Hello Hello

Anyone wondering where I have been!? Probably not but I thought I would share with you anyway. Just got back (not home yet) from WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) In VIVA LAS VEGAS!!! This was a conference given by WPPI to over 12,000 photographers all over the glob. It was so amazing to go and learn, Learn, and LEARN some more. So much inspiration my mind is a buzzing blurrrrr at the moment but I took great notes and will sort them all out.

There were some amazing photographers who gave classes about how their business works for them. Some of my favorites were, Canfield/Jenkins Children with style, Beth Forester, Brianna Graham and Tamara Lackey to name a few.

What a great time I had. I was completely inspired to take my photography to the next level.

I was roommates with some wonderful girls who made the trip even more enjoyable. Thanks ladies!!! You know who you are. Still trying to figure out what my nickname is supposed to be. :)

We had an amazing shoot in the desert with a hot red head with awesome green high heels. A senior guy that was an awesome musician with a great voice and a couple who had just been married who had AMAZING blue eye, you shall see. Thank you so much for coming out for us and being so patient with all of us. We really appreciated your time!!

A Year in Review

Now that it's down time for me I thought I would go over the last year and pick out some of my favorite shots and post some every week. I've known I wanted to do photography for a very long time. But between babies, nursing, kids, school, more nursing etc.. I just never took the plunge. Last year in May I finally got up the courage to ask my friend to take pictures of her and her sweet little baby girl. I was actually very excited how they turned out and had posted them to my facebook and website. Well come to find out because her husband works for the FBI I had to take them off. lol I was really bummed not being able to share them but it totally made me think "Ok, maybe I can really do this" Since them I have definitely grown. Hello Family and friends. I am only on here for a short time. I just wanted everyone to know that I do no have internet right now. We are having major issues with the company my in-laws (where we currently live) have as their internet provider and are trying to get the issues resolved. So for now I have been going to friends homes to do my Photography work and to quickly check my emails. I don't want to be a burden for them and stick to my work.

So I am not ignoring you and I really appreciate the comments I've recieved on my blogs and other emails. Thank You!! I hope to be on-line out at our place soon to catch up on everyone's photography blogs and family blogs!! :)

Here is the rest of her WONDERFUL family! I remember when we lived in Wyoming before. Lloyd her dad was the first person who came over to welcome us to the neighborhood. They are one of the greatest and giving families I have ever met.

The Williams Family...

What a fun fun family!!

Hauna reminds me so much of my sister in law Camille. She is always so happy and just has FUN! She was such a crack up I enjoyed every minute. They were so patient with me and all my idea's in the FREEZING COLD. One shot I wanted to get we had to wait for the sun to go behind the mountain and I think the temperature dropped about 10 degrees. Brrrrrrrrr. I think it was in the 20's by then.

They also had a FABULOUS location too... and their dog Blondie was so excited to be in the pictures he did such a good job. Hauna's husband Colt is one of the nicest people I've ever met. And their girls are just gorgeous I LOVE their eyes. You'll see below why. :) Thank you so much Williams family for letting me have fun with you. It was great. I can't wait to have another session with you when it's a little WARMER!!!

My First Official Bride.... well kind of!

I LOVE what I do!! I am branching out and meeting new wonderful FUN people and making new friends while doing what I do. And I am amazed that they want "me" to take their photo's.

This is Krista, she contacted me a while back wanting to take pictures in her wedding dress with the Fall colors. She's been married for 3 years but never had the opportunity to do some different fun pictures and wanted to do so while she can still work it in her dress. You go girl..... how many of us can still fit into our wedding dresses??

So the Fall colors kind of got nixed because of a huge snow storm we had about a month ago and killed all the color. But we still found color. She found this amazing place with great red rocks. And then we found more color in the field with her tractors. It was a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks Krista & Luke it was so much fun doing something I really haven't done before, I absolutely loved the challenge!!

Krista's husband Luke, her father in law and mom were so kind to take time away to move tractors and the car where I wanted them. Thank you so much. Luke also stuck around for a couple shots with his gorgeous wife! Thanks for all your help!!

And this is Krista's baby "Miss Hannah". Krista is in LOVE with her. It was too funny watching Hannah try and figure out what Krista what wearing. In the end she really gave Krista's dress a big slobbery kiss. LOL

Hmmm Seniors!!

I really do love seniors. I know I've already said that once but I'm sure I will say it many many more times!!

Remember the baby pictures I did a little while back? Well I finally had the opportunity to take pictures of his cute Aunt Bailey. We've had to reschedule twice. The last time was because of the "lovely" weather we were having a couple weeks ago. Well the leaves were frozen in there changing color state so no more pretty leaves but I'd say I was still able to get some very FUN shots.

Thanks Bailey it was so much fun working with you. You are GORGEOUS!!! Can't wait for our Winter and Spring sessions. :)

This is my good friend Kris and her adorable family. They were a lot of fun to "boss" around. :) Her husband asked if I made everyone do what I was asking them to do. YEP I sure do!!

Thanks so much it was a lot of fun to spend a couple hours with you. I finally let them go home once the sun went down. :)

Kamden is there oldest, I made him climb up onto the ledge of a door way that was about five feet in the air on this old house.... Thanks Kam for putting up with my requests.

Kyle was my next guy to have fun with. He did great doing what ever I asked and never complained.

Then Zane was a little goof ball he was so funny he kept cracking these funny little faces and trying to not listen to what his family was saying behind me. :)

Then there is little miss KayKay. What a darling girl. I could take pictures of her all day!! She new exactly how to pose!!

What a little heart breaker this little girl is. I'm pretty sure both her parents have the shot gun ready....... boys!!! :)

Jill was my daughter Gracie's teacher last year and Gracie absolutely loved her. Her daughter and my son Ty are only hmmm I think 2 hours apart in age? Jill you'll have to correct me on that if I'm wrong. And yes he is so much like little "Lara" very cute and VERY INDEPENDENT!!!! :)

Hope you enjoy this session.....I had a lot of fun with them!! She definitely kept me on my toes. Thanks Jill and Wayne it was great to capture her little personality!! Lara was a crack up!! The tongue was great!!! LOL

We tried to get daddy to hold her but she wanted mommy all day. Sorry Wayne we tried. :)

So as I was saying I LOVE this girl. Sarah was my daughters soccer coach this fall. I've been wanting to take her pictures for ever unbeknownst to her. So I finally asked and she agreed. The Forshee Family

Ten Sleep Wyoming is where I was this weekend for this photo session. What a beautiful place, that is literally out in the middle on no where!! My cousin Adrienne along with her hubby Nate and little boy Kruze have a ranch out there and asked if I would come and take their pictures. How could I pass that up. I had SO much fun with them and their little guy. It was fun to just follow him around and let him do his own thing. Thank you so much Adrienne & Nate for letting me come and spend the day with you. Can't wait to come back!! Enjoy the next bazillion pictures. I have such a hard time just picking a few.

This picture I actually really love..... it show real life. If I didn't tell you, you wouldn't guess they are actually really frustrated because Kruze won't give up is "mama" :) Sorry had to share that! I love capturing real life moments though!

Isn't she just amazingly gorgeous!!! I loved all the locations we went to they were so much fun. And the chairs I wanted to bring home with me!!! :)

What a great couple they mesh together really well!

The Ludwig Family

Ok so I went a little over board on the pictures I selected to post for this family. But hey, I love doing what I do. I had so much fun with them and after the sun went down we had a little marshmallow roast around the bone fire. I think we made them a little home sick though.

I will start with their youngest. After having 4 girls they got their boy. He is so adorable... those chubby cheeks and little curls... I love it.

Little man Porter

He had so much fun on this tractor it cracked me up! He would make little motor sounds and would rock back and forth trying to make it go.

He was so good the whole time but little guys get tuckered out after a while.

Then there is sweet little Emily. My goodness what a doll you can just fall into those eyes! She was a crack up, if I would ask her to smile she would smile if I asked her for a serious face she would immediately be serious. What a hoot!!!

Quiet Lyndsie she was a good sport and let me take her shoes off in the old house. What a fun girl! She was up for anything.

Hailey was great she climbed up into this huge tree for me and I love this close up I got of her. Love the eyes Hailey!!

MaKendra was up for anything too, I think she was a little worried when I said to just freeze if she heard a rattle lol but she was very brave in the long grass! Gorgeous girl! Watch out for those boys Chad.....:)

These are my new friends Kirsten and Chad. They were a lot of fun and Chad just went along with what ever... it's always nice when the guys let me tell them what to do too!

Here is Kirsten and all her girls! They are all so much fun and sassy!! ;)

LOST CABIN BUCKAROOS

I've been reminiscing about my past photo's and thought I would share some that I took back in March. I had just gotten my camera in December and was experimenting with shooting in Manual. Some of you may have already viewed them but my subjects have not had the pleasure in seeing themselves, due to lack of my old website not working. I apologize!! :) So here you go....

These two had just been kicked around a little bit the day before in the daily grid of Buckaroo life. They were sore and were still willing to do a couple poses for me. I thought they turned out pretty neat.

Bass Lake

Bass Lake was another stop on our trip. We went with our dear friends Dan & Katy and there sweet darling little girls. Our kids get along so well and we all had so much fun together. I had a great time taking there pictures for them I just couldn't get enough of little miss Eva.

Isn't she SO AMAZINGLY ADORABLE!!!

This is little miss Lili, she was so quiet and did exactly as I asked.

And here is Miss Mimi (Madeline) she is our Madeline's age and they are great friends..... this cute girl used to have little natural ringlets all over her cute little head. Now it's much easier to do her hair. :) She is so photogenic!

We just arrived home last night from our long vacation to California and Utah. It was so great seeing all our friends. While I was there I had the opportunity to do a couple sessions. This one is of my great friend Jennifer and her kids. (Steve was home sleeping from a LONG night of work) They were such perfect little models.

This little man weighed a TON and half, his poor mama is about to have #5 I don't know how she carries him around. Jen your amazing!! :)

Here is little Miss "Pot pie" is her nick name well part of it anyway. She was so adorable!!!

Gavin was such a trooper it was SO bright out even at 8 in the morning. I think it was because of all the smoke in the air from all the fires.

Ethan..... my my what a handsome young man he is turning into... I've known him for around 5 years now? I can't believe it! Awesome job Ethan!!

Isn't she a gorgeous mama of soon to be 5!!! My friend is such a hoot, she just takes life as it's thrown at her. And she adores her children!! Thanks so much Jen for letting me enjoy your kids for a while it was a lot of fun. Your an awesome friend!!!

Hoyt Camp

This darling friend of mine...Mary Ann has her grandchildren come and stay with her for a week full of fun activities at "Hoyt Camp". It's amazing what this lady does. She writes a recipe column in the local news paper, runs the cutest store in town called "Cabin Fever" she carries books, kitchen items, toys, among other items. You can tell she is in LOVE with her grandchildren. Too cute!!! So on this day we had a little photo shoot and had fun with dressing up. Can I just say these kids are adorable and did anything I asked!! It was a lot of fun to do! Thank you so much Mary Ann I had SO much FUN!!!!

El Sol's Mariachi Band. These guys were so great in our 4th of July parade. I caught them later walking down our street and asked them to take another picture. I think I've posted them in the past but I wasn't able to put the pictures on big then.

They have the best food too!!! I enjoy it better when my kids aren't spilling 3 drinks though. UGH! :) LOL

Can I tell you how much I LOVE this family! They are so much fun and we love it when cousins come to visit. This time around we were able to finally go to Vernal for our niece's Baptism. Then we did a little family session and I found this Awesome location for them. Hope you like.

Hi Everyone

Here's a little peak into our life here in Lander Wy. It's very quaint, but let me tell you the 4th of July weekend is huge here for families and friends to come and visit. I don't know if it's because we get two show's....one on July 3rd put on by Dr. Bills and the other after the rodeo on the 4th, plus the whole town is lit up with fireworks. It's legal here for anyone to by the big one's and the whole sky is lit up. It's really quite the site. So just for a little something different. I won't do this often I thought I would share some shots.

I just got back from a photography mentoring session put on by my friend Kellie Smith. MBK Moments By Kellee. www.momentsbykellee.com

She was so awesome and so AMAZING. I loved every minute of it. Even when I was scared to try something new I enjoyed it!!

I will be posting new pictures from our photo shoot. Tara a friend and past bride of Kellee's was so sweet to come where we were and have 5 lenses in her face for almost 3 hours.

I can't wait to post them but I must sleep!

Also please make a note this is my FINAL change, I am going back to the name "Torrie Nicholas Photography" and my website will change to www.torrienicholasphotography.com hopefully by July 13th if not sooner.
